专利说明:
Removable connecter for fog-generating devices The present invention relates to a connecter for use in removably connecting a fog-generating device to a surface, wherein said connecter comprises a first and second support member and a first and second electrical connection member. The connecter of the present invention also comprises at least a part of the electrical and / or electronic components that control the fog-generating device. BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION Spray generating devices are used in various fields. They are used in entertainment to create a specific mood or to improve the visual light effects. During the training of emergency services and soldiers, these devices are used to simulate fire. In addition, they are used in security systems to disorient intruders and hide valuables from them. For various applications, and especially for security purposes, it is important to be able to attach the fog-generating device securely to a surface. An additional requirement for the development of an adjustable connecter for a powered security device is that the wiring (e.g., electrical wiring, wiring for safety signals, etc.) must be accommodated in a safe and preferably hidden manner. It is therefore an object of the present invention to provide a connecter for removably connecting a mist-generating device to a surface that is not subject to the aforementioned problems. In addition, another problem associated with mist-generating devices concerns the temperature of the devices. Normally, a mist-generating device creates fog by flowing a mist-generating fluid over a heat exchanger, whereupon the mist-generating fluid is converted into steam emitted at the end of the heat-exchanger. Because of, among other things, the heat exchanger, the temperature inside the housing is easily 10 ° C higher than the ambient temperature. Moreover, the device is often mounted on the ceiling, where the ambient temperature is often above 30 ° C. Consequently, the electrical and electronic components in the fog-generating device are frequently exposed to temperatures above 40 ° C that negatively affect their reliability and service life and require additional consideration during their development. The inventors of the present device have discovered that at least a portion of the electrical and electronic components that are normally located within the housing of the fog-generating device can be located within the connecter of the present invention. Since the temperature within the connecter is much lower than within the mist generating device, this is a big advantage. In addition, the connector of the present invention hides these electrical and electronic components in a safe manner. SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION As previously described above, the present invention provides a connector for use in removably connecting a fog generating device (3) to a surface (2), said connector comprising a first portion (1) that can be connected to said surface and a second portion (4) that can be connected to said mist-generating device; wherein - said first part (1) comprises a first support member (6) and a first electrical connection member (5); and - said second portion (4) comprising a second support member (9) that interacts with said first support member (6) to support said fog generating device, and a second electrical connection member (14) that interacts with said first electrical connection member to allow transmission of current and / or a signal between said first portion (1) and said second portion (4). They are shown in order to provide what is believed to be the most useful and convenient description of the principles and conceptual aspects of the invention. In this regard, no attempt is made to show the structural details of the invention in more detail than is necessary for a fundamental understanding of the invention. The descriptions included with the drawings show those skilled in the art how the various forms of the invention can be embodied in practice. Figure 1: Cross-sectional side view of an open connector of the present invention Figure 2: Side view of a closed connector of the present invention DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION As previously described above, the present invention provides a connector for use in removably connecting a fog generating device (3) to a surface (2), said connector comprising a first portion (1) that can be connected to said surface and a second portion (4) that can be connected to said mist-generating device; wherein - said first part (1) comprises a first support member (6) and a first electrical connection member (5); and - said second portion (4) comprising a second support member (9) that interacts with said first support member (6) to support said fog generating device, and a second electrical connection member (14) that interacts with said first electrical connection member to permit transmission of current and / or a signal between said first portion (1) and said second portion (2). The connecter can be used to connect the fog-generating device to any usable surface (2), such as a wall, ceiling, floor, panel or furniture. Each of said first or second part of the connecter can be attached directly or indirectly to the surface and the fog-generating device, respectively. As an example, the said second part can be attached indirectly to the mist-generating device by means of adjustable connector means to adjust the orientation of the mist-generating device relative to the surface, such as, for example, a ball and holder connection. Within a specific embodiment of the present invention, said second part (1) comprises an adaptable connecter that can be connected to said fog generating device, for example the adaptable connecter as described in the related application from the same applicant. The first (6) and second (9) support member within the connecter of the present invention can be of any form, as long as it allows a supportive interaction. In a specific embodiment, said first support member (6) is a protrusion and said second support member (9) is a holder for said protrusion. Said first support member may be, for example, a pin and said second support member a shaft within the second portion that firmly encloses said pin. To prevent accidental detachment, said connecter may comprise further fixing means (10) for fixing said first part (1) to said second part (4). In a specific embodiment, said fixing means comprises a component which is connected to said second part and presses against said first support member or enters the support member. In another embodiment, the said component is a screw. In this embodiment, said screw passes through the second portion (4) and pushes against the first support member, such as the pin in Figure 1, thereby connecting the second portion to the first portion. In a variant embodiment, the first support member comprises a cavity to accommodate a portion of said screw. By tightening the screw, the end enters the first support member, making removal of the second part of the first part impossible. The connector of the invention may comprise various means to ensure correct orientation of the first portion to the second portion, such as traditional support members and optionally guide bands and / or contact plugs. Thus, within a specific embodiment, said first section (1) comprises two or more support members (6) and said second section (4) comprises two or more second support members (9) which interact with said two or more support members (6) to support said fog-generating device. Moreover, the first and second support members may comprise additional integrated guide means such as, for example, present in a plug. Said support members and any further means to ensure correct orientation of both parts with respect to each other ensure that the first (5) and second (14) electrical connectors are automatically connected when the first (1) and second (2) part of the connector. In other words, the fog-generating device can be mounted to a surface in one movement and the electrical connections can be connected in one movement. This makes it even easier to perform maintenance on the device, since no separate manipulation of the electrical connection is required. Said first and second electrical connection members may interact with the transmission of power and / or an electronic signal between said first (1) and second part (2), within which said transmission is carried out by means of an induction, electrical connection, capacitance, electromagnetic connection or a photoelectric connection. In a preferred embodiment, the first and second electrical connection members form an electrical connector. The first electrical connection member may, for example, be a plug and the second electrical connection member a socket, whereby they together form a plug and socket connector. Of course, the first electrical connection member can be a socket and the second electrical connection member a plug. In a specific embodiment, there are two or more electrical connection members present in said first part and these interact with two or more electrical connection members within said second part, causing a transmission of power or a signal between said first (1) and second part (2) is possible. For example, there may be two electrical connection members within the first portion that interact with two electrical connection members within the second portion, thereby generating two separate connections. In this example, one connection can be used for the transmission of power and the other connection can be used for the transmission of signals, such as security signals. In a specific embodiment, the first and second electrical connection members interact to allow power transmission. In another embodiment, the present invention provides a connecter as described herein, wherein said first portion (1) also comprises a connecting means for connecting said first connecting member (5) to an external power supply, such as the mains or an external battery. In another specific embodiment, the second portion (4) also comprises other connection means (11) for connecting said second electrical connection member (14) to the circuit of said fog-generating device. The combination of these embodiments thus ensures that the power of an external power supply is transported to the first electrical connection member and transferred to the second electrical connection member. The power will also be transferred to the circuit of the mist-generating device, thereby driving said mist-generating device. In another embodiment, said connecting members for connecting the first electrical connecting member (5) to said external power supply comprise electrical wiring and / or a printed circuit (7). In another embodiment, said connecting members for connecting the second electrical connecting member (14) to said of said fog-generating device include electrical wiring and / or a printed circuit. Therefore, an external power supply can be connected directly or via an integrated fuse or electrical or electronic switches to the circuit of the fog-generating device. In a specific embodiment, said printed circuit comprises at least a part of the electricity grid, the electronic circuit or the electromagnetic circuit that manages said fog-generating device. The connecter of the present invention thus comprises at least a portion of the electrical and electronic components that control the fog-generating device. The printed circuit within the connecter may also include components such as, but not limited to, a transformer or a switching power supply.
